Magellan Expedition

Magellan’s expedition left Spain in September 1519 with 5 ships. The Portuguese explorer never finished the journey. He died in April 1521 in the Philippines. The first #circumnavigation expedition took over 3 years. Out of the 260 men that sailed with Ferdinand Magellan, only 17 returned.
